The central field depicting two mythological birds encircling chrysanthemum blossoms & scrolling vines within a band of ruyi-heads, the cavetto rising to an iron red ground of repeating diaper designs interspersed by auspicious geometric symbols and mythological beasts.
The rim's interior showing bands of ruyi-heads against a red cell ground, the underside decorated with bands of iron red petal-shaped panels & scrolls, raised overall upon a channeled foot rim. Measuring 15” diameter.
