A serpentine chest of drawers/commode raised on hand-like legs, likely inspired by the Chippendale claw and ball. The base, three drawers and top follow the same curvilinear line in a serpentine shape. The form of this chest of drawers closely relates to a very similar three-drawer serpentine dressing chest supplied by Thomas Chippendale to Mersham-le-Hatch in 1768 The ironwork likely original.
The drawers have had some past restorations.

Description
Commode serpentine aux piétements à motif de balle et de mains sans doute inspiré de la manière Chippendale, qui utilisera la griffe et la balle. La base, les trois tiroirs, le plateau suivent une même ligne mouvementée en forme serpentine. La ferronnerie semble d'origine.
Les tiroirs ont eut quelques restaurations.
