An Exceptionally Fine & Rare 18th Century Russian Silver-Gilt Beaker,

Fyodor Petrov (working 1759-1784), Moscow 1784             

       

The richly embossed silver-gilt exterior surface featuring robust motifs of eagles perched upon leafy scrolls, flowerheads & foliate motifs, the interior exhibiting a superb gilt washed interior.

 

The underside of the base bearing impressed Moscow assay mark, alderman & makers mark for Fyodor Petrov (working 1759-1784) & date stamp for 1784.

 

Measuring 3.3/8” high x 2.7/5” dia. Weight, 94 grams.
