A vivid portrait by Hungary's most recognized avant garde artist, this pastel was framed shortly after it was brought back to Canada with paper grocery bags and acidic board as a backing. Thankfully the rust from nails bled into the backing and not into the paper. Has been removed from the old frame and is being re-framed with conservation materials.
